What the analyzer actually produces

The fair-value range is arithmetic applied to assumptions you choose. Change the growth rate and the answer changes. It is a sensitivity tool, not a forecast.

Expected return and margin of safety are derived from the same assumptions and inherit the same uncertainty. Treat a wide range as a signal that the conclusion is assumption-dependent.

Limits of the 8 Pillars

The pillars are a screen with published thresholds. Any screen tight enough to be useful will exclude good investments, and passing all eight does not make a company a good investment.

• The debt-to-free-cash-flow pillar reads incorrectly for banks and insurers, which carry debt as raw material rather than as leverage.
• Young, heavily reinvesting businesses fail the valuation and cash-flow pillars while doing the right thing.
• Five-year averages flatter cyclicals when the window spans a boom.
• No arithmetic screen sees management integrity, regulatory risk, or an approaching technology shift. These end more investment theses than valuation does.

Data sources and accuracy

Prices and index levels come from third-party market data providers. Financial statements are derived from company filings. We take reasonable care but do not warrant that any figure is accurate, complete, or current.

Where a figure on this site is modelled rather than reported, the interface says so at the point the number appears. Verify anything material against the company's own filings.

Conflicts of interest

Everything Money earns revenue from subscriptions and coaching. We do not accept payment to feature, promote, or rate any company, and we do not run paid placements in research content.

Team members may personally hold positions in companies discussed on the platform. Where a specific holding is material to published analysis, it is disclosed alongside that analysis.

Forward-looking statements

Any projection on this platform, including in the calculators, assumes a constant rate applied over a long horizon. Real markets deliver the same average through a very different sequence, and poor returns early in a withdrawal period do more damage than the average implies.
